The AL8891Q is a synchronous step-down DC/DC LED driver capable of delivering up to 2 A of constant current from an input voltage range of 4.5 V to 65 V. It features a high switching frequency of up to 2.5 MHz, ensuring high efficiency and a compact form factor. The AL8866Q, on the other hand, is a versatile buck-boost, boost, buck, and SEPIC DC-switching controller designed to drive an external MOSFET for high-power automotive LED applications. It operates within a wide input voltage range from 4.7 V to 85 V and incorporates a fixed-frequency, peak current-mode control architecture for low EMI performance. Both drivers support PWM and analog dimming, offer comprehensive protection features, and are AEC-Q100 qualified, making them ideal for various automotive lighting solutions.
