MPFS-ICICLE-KIT PolarFire® SoC FPGA Icicle Kit

The Microchip Technology MPFS-ICICLE-KIT low-power RISC-V SoC FPGA development platform is ideal for embedded and real-time applications

Image of Microchip MPFS-ICICLE-KIT PolarFire® SoC FPGA Icicle KitThe Microchip Technology MPFS-ICICLE-KIT cost-optimized development board is built around the PolarFire SoC FPGA (MPFS250T-FCVG484EES). It integrates a five-core RISC-V processor subsystem, combining Linux-capable application cores with real-time monitor cores. Designed for low power consumption and high reliability, the kit supports secure boot and offers a rich set of peripherals for interfacing and expansion.

This platform is ideal for evaluating asymmetric multiprocessing (AMP) scenarios, where deterministic real-time tasks run alongside Linux-based applications. It includes onboard memory, storage, and multiple high-speed interfaces, making it suitable for prototyping in industrial, automotive, aerospace, and networking domains. The kit also supports standard development tools like Libero® SoC Design Suite and SoftConsole IDE, with full access to the Microchip Mi-V RISC-V ecosystem.
