SCHURTER's expanded IEC filtered inlet family includes the 5124 series, which achieves a much higher attenuation than earlier series 5120 and 5123. The enhanced filter performance is achieved by incorporating the latest high-performance components while maintaining the same package dimensions.
The 5124 series is equipped with exclusive chokes that have highly permeable toroidal cores and an inductance significantly higher than that of the earlier series. The increased inductance achieves up to 10 dB improvement in attenuation of asymmetrical interference signals. Additionally, the enlarged X-capacitors help counter symmetrical interference. Available in screw or snap-in mounting, the metal flange and snap-arms make excellent contact with the chassis when mounted, which further optimizes filtering and shielding effects.
The 5120, 5123, and 5124 series are available with operating currents 1 A to 10 A according to IEC and 1 A to 15 A according to UL in standard or medical low leakage versions. The rated voltage is 250 VAC. The series are V-Lock power cord compatible and ENEC, CQC as well as cURus approved.
The prolific expansion of electronics equipment places higher demands on interference suppression for safe and reliable equipment operation. The 5124 is designed to meet such demands and particularly suitable in areas of high equipment concentration, such equipment used in IT/AV, medical and laboratory, test and measurement, and industrial automation.
